What is a Flyboard
Flyboarding is a new form of extreme entertainment

Flyboarding is an extreme sport. It has to do with water. That’s why its other name is hydroflying. The main task of the athlete is to get in the air, hang up and do somersaults. Must rotate, performing smooth or rather sharp turns. Spectacular dives of athletes with great experience are sure to please all spectators. The most interesting trick is called ‘dolphin’. In this case, the flyboarder performs the moves. He dives and then surfaces, successfully repeating the movements of a real dolphin. But it’s a trick that takes quite a long time to learn. The flying can be done at the height of 10 metres.

Flyboarding history

The flyboard was invented by a Frenchman named Frank Zapata. For a long time he has been performing experiments. Finally, he managed to invent a new sport in 2011. This Frenchman was called Aquaman. And all this because he managed to achieve incredible results in the sport. Frank created a board. Then he demonstrated it to the public and taught them how to fly it.

The developer didn’t want to stop. His fascinating invention quickly became hugely popular and very fashionable indeed. A flyboard is attached to a jet ski. At the same time its lifting height is limited. You can fly it only over a body of water. A special jet board for professionals was also developed. It aroused the genuine interest of those flyboarders who love the true freedom. The invented unique model is now completely independent from the jet ski. It can reach a top speed of 150 kilometres per hour.

The extreme sportsman said that he simply can’t live without a real risk and incredible thrill. It is very important for him to be on the verge of total failure all the time. From time to time he prefers to compare himself to a real mountaineer conquering another peak. Classic flyboards are safe. And jet boards necessarily require athletes to be particularly prepared. It’s important to keep your mind off the risks.

The layout of a flyboard

A typical flyboard set-up includes water shoes, stabilisers, hoses and a jet ski. The hose connects to the jet ski. It ensures a continuous flow of water. Thiso ensures a large capacity flow. Manual stabilisers can be used to control the flow by adjusting its capacity. Hand-operated water jets keep the balance and allow you to control the flight.

How to fly

It is possible to take part in individual or group flights on a flyboard. A beginner takes five minutes to learn how to use the board. He also gets some basic skills. Each flyboarder receives a waistcoat and helmet.

Boarding takes place in two phases:

– Instruction on land. Instructor explains all safety rules, provides all necessary equipment and teaches proper board and flying techniques.

– On water. Lasts from 10 minutes to one hour. The price depends on how long you are in the air.

Initially, it’s worth learning how to keep your balance on the board. Then you can turn and dive. This is training. It’s performed at one metre height.

Once you’ve got a good grip on the board, you’ll be lifted higher. The height will be 5 metres.

Initially, it’s worth observing those who already do tricks and aren’t afraid of flying in the air. You will understand what it is worth aiming for.

Flyboarding can give you amazing feelings and positive emotions. It is chosen by active people. Be sure to join the friendly team of true flyboarders.
